Snohomish
county contains all or parts of seven of the 49
Legislative Districts in the State of Washington.
Each of these 49 Legislative Districts is represented by
two members in the State House of Representatives
serving two year terms and one member in the State
Senate serving a four year term. Here are a list of some
web sites that will help you act and track issues in WA.
|
Washington State Legislature: all sorts of information on
the Legislature's web site, photos of the Legislators,
contact information, and lots more and not very
difficult to navigate. |
|
Washington Votes: an
excellent website for tracking legislation in
our own state government. It is an easy and
quick way to reach legislators, comment on
bills, and keep up with the session. |
|
LMA: Legal Marriage Alliance of WA is a web site
clearinghouse for same-sex marriage information
in the state of Washington. |
|
Equal Rights Washington: is
a new statewide political advocacy organization
for the GLBT community of Washington State with
the primary mission of ending discrimination of
gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered
persons in every corner of the state. |
|
Religious Coalition-Washington: an
interfaith association of lay persons and clergy
committed to this twofold purpose: to educate
Washington State citizens about and to advocate
for marriage equality for all couples and the
civil rights of all.
|
|
SEAMEC:
Seattle Metropolitan Elections Committee is a non-partisan civic organization that rates political candidates on their knowledge of and support for GLBT issues. SEAMEC publishes and distributes its ratings before elections to enable voters to make informed choices.
